I honestly don't see how the Day of Silence accomplishes anything.
It’s nice that people rally around this cause… But wouldn’t speaking out about GLBTQ issues accomplish more than going around silent the entire day?
It brings attention to the cause while being as peaceful and non-disruptive as you can be. This sends out a respectful vibe from those who participate, showing that what we are fighting for deserves respect.
